This session will first provide a brief refresher on the legal requirements of an employer in response to an employee request for an accommodation for disability, pregnancy, and religious reasons. The intricacies of the interactive dialogue will be explored along with practical tips for a manageable and consistent process. The session will also provide case studies on disability, pregnancy, and religious accommodation requests to enable participants to hear about practical, real-world examples and the surrounding legal issues.

Earn approximately 1 SHRM/HRCI credit for attending!

About the Speaker: 

Jennifer Jauffret

Jennifer Jauffret heads the Labor & Employment Group at Richards, Layton & Finger, Delaware’s largest law firm. She represents a wide variety of business clients in all types of labor and employment matters. Jennifer is an experienced and practical drafter of employment, separation, noncompete, and other employment agreements, as well as employee policies and handbooks. She is a skillful trainer and provides sound, prompt legal advice regarding compliance with ever-evolving employment laws.
