AI and Prompts for HR: Make Your Workday Easier
Are you using AI the way you should be — or are you still stuck on “make this email nicer”? If AI isn’t saving you time, it’s not the tool — it’s the prompt. In this practical, hands-on session, HR professionals will learn a simple, repeatable prompt framework to get real work outputs across employee relations, performance coaching, L&D, recruiting, HR operations, and change communications. We’ll move through quick examples, then run a live prompt lab so attendees can practice building stronger prompts in real time. Participants will leave with copy/paste HR-ready prompts, safety guardrails, and a workflow they can use immediately.

About the Speaker:
Leilani Decena, SHRM-SCP
Leilani Decena, SHRM-SCP, is an HR professional with expertise spanning talent management, employee relations, policy development, and AI integration in the workplace. A former Emmy Award-winning TV producer and journalist from Hollywood, she brings a unique storytelling lens to the world of people strategy. Leilani holds the SHRM AI+HI Specialty Credential, serves on the Delaware SHRM Board, and is currently launching AI-HR Studio — a YouTube channel, podcast, and social media community dedicated to all things HR and AI. AI-HR Studio will be launched later this year.
